Sandway Homes recently teamed up with Elevate Education Business Partnership and St. Benedict’s Catholic Primary School, Netherton.
Over the course of several weeks, sponsorship by Sandway has assisted a skills building programme delivered by Elevate’s Operational Lead, Helen Morris, and Sandway’s Head of Operations & Sales, Sandra Coventry.
During the programme, Year 5 pupils participated in a number of activities encouraging them to imagine their future selves, their future world and their future opportunities and career. As well as developing personal and team building skills,wWe took an in-depth dive into the world of construction and the extensive opportunities this can present.
The pupils split into two teams and took on the roles of architects, engineers, project managers, builders and marketers and created two villages which they presented to each other.
We culminated the programme with a celebration assembly and a competition to design a ‘House of the Future’ and we look forward to seeing the entries and arranging visits to our show homes in the new academic year.
